December, 2014
HUG was one of five school entries to be recognized and receive a 2014 Local Government Innovation Award from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
As local governments struggle with cutbacks at state and federal levels, these awards—organized in partnership with the Bush Foundation and co-sponsored by the League of Minnesota Cities, the Association of Minnesota Counties, the Minnesota School Board Association, and the Minnesota Association of Townships—recognize local entities that are most creative in providing services to Minnesotans. Five organizations in each of the four award categories (Cities, Counties, Schools and Townships) were recognized on December 11, 2014 at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
